JOSEPH MALLORD WILLIAM TURNER

Joseph Mallord William Turner was born on 23th April 1775, and he died on 19th December 1851. He was an English Romantic landscape painter,a water colourist and a print maker. He is recognised by lots of people as the foundation of Impressionism, and he elevated landscape painting to an eminence rivalling history painting.
His works started to be exhibited when he was a teenager, as he loved painting  and he developed his style when he was a child. He is commonly known as "the painter of light".
J. M. W. Turner's entire life was devoted to his art. He left more than 19000 paintings to the British Nation before he died.
